Striker believes stalemate with the Cherries was probably fair but see positives in Town's performance
Freddie Sears admitted that the draw with Bournemouth was probably a fair result, on reflection.
The former Colchester striker gave Town the perfect start in the televised Portman Road clash, firing home after just six minutes, before Kenwyne Jones earned the Cherries a share of the spoils with a late debut goal.
“I think on reflection it was probably a fair result,” Freddie told the official Club website.
“Bournemouth are a good side and I thought today had a real end-to-end feel to the game. We got off to a great start and performed well but unfortunately they hit back late on.
“The gaffer emphasised that he wanted a quick start to the game and we got just that. I was in the right place at the right time and managed to put the ball away.

“I think it was probably the right result in the end though and looking back, it’s not a bad result for either side.
“We’re still well in the hunt and we can focus on a tough game against Huddersfield now. We’re in for training tomorrow and we will be all prepared for Monday now.”
