Freddie Sears wants Town to clinch a top six finish this weekend as a thank you to the Town fans for their superb backing over the course of the season.

The striker, who arrived from Colchester in January, has been impressed with the support of the Blue Army and wants to seal a Play-Off place with victory over Nottingham Forest in what is Town’s final confirmed home match of the season.

“The fans have been brilliant,” Freddie told the official Club website.

“Since I’ve been here they have been superb towards the team and to me personally. They’ve taken to me and that’s really important and something I’m happy about.

“Hopefully we can give them something to cheer about by winning on Saturday and getting the job done.

“It’s our last home League match and we want to finish at Portman Road on a high for ourselves and for them.”
