Local celebrity and Food Unwrapped presenter is backing the Blues to reach the Play-Offs with victory over Forest this weekend
Town have received a message of good luck from a local celebrity, as the Blues prepare to take on Nottingham Forest this weekend looking to book a place in the end of season Play-Offs.
Jimmy Doherty, owner of Jimmy’s Farm and a well known TV presenter, visited Town’s Playford Road training centre this week to pass on his good luck messages to Mick McCarthy and his first-team squad.
The Food Unwrapped presenter believes Town making the Play-Offs would be a huge boost to the whole community and has his fingers crossed for a win this weekend.
“It’s really important for not just Ipswich but for Suffolk too and to see the team doing so well is brilliant,” Jimmy told the official Club website.
“Everyone is right behind the team and hopefully it can be finished off with a successful end to the season.
“It’s wonderful to be here and up close with the team. They are all great guys and I’ve wished them all the best.

“If they could go all the way then it would be absolutely amazing and to see Ipswich back where they belong in the Premier League would be fantastic.
“As much as you want to get carried away with it all, you have to keep a lid on it and make sure we get the job done first- I’m sure the boys will.
“Fingers crossed for the weekend and I hope they can be celebrating come the final whistle.
“I see a few of the faces up at the farm and it’s great that they come up with their families. It’s nice to see the guys at their work and having that bond is great for the whole community, and I think it shows that people are proud of Ipswich and Suffolk.”
