TOMMY: BIGGEST GAME FOR 10 YEARS

30 April 2015

Confident Blues ahead of crunch trip to Ewood Park

Tommy Smith says there is confidence in the Town dressing-room ahead of what he describes as probably the biggest game for Blues in 10 years.

A point at Ewood Park on Saturday will guarantee Mick McCarthy’s side a place in the Play-Offs and a showdown with either Middlesbrough or Norwich in the semi-finals.

“The top six was our target when we started in August, like most of the clubs in the Championship,” Tommy told Ipswich Player.

“There was a stage when the top two looked possible. We didn’t quite make that but we are happy with the season so far and hopefully there is more to come.

“It’s in our own hands now and that is all you can ask for. It’s probably the biggest game for this Club in the last 10 years. We know what we have to do and there is a confidence in the dressing-room that we can go up there and get the job done.”
