Town fan in line to win award and have the opportunity to commentate on the final day of the season for talkSPORT
Town fan Jake Goodall has reached the final of the ‘People’s Pundit’ competition and with your votes, could be set to commentate on the final day of the Premier League season for talkSPORT.
Jake has been announced as the Southern winner of the People's Pundit competition, championed by Carlsberg, the Official Beer of the Premier League. Should he win the competition, he'll be given the chance to commentate on the talkSPORT panel on the final day of the Premier League season.
Last Monday, Jake and his fellow finalists were taken to Wembley for the Boot Camp stage of the competition. They were given a punditry masterclass by talkSPORT pundit Mark Saggers before then competing in their first challenge – a mock press conference in which Ray Parlour was unveiled as the new Arsenal manager. Ray Parlour was given five headlines that he could announce, but only if the wannabe pundits were able to coax them out of him.
The finalists then went on a private tour of Wembley stadium, before coming back to compete in their second challenge.
The second challenge was a pitch side preview for an England international v Switzerland. Each was given a different piece of breaking news to react to – from a key player being dropped to a new captain being announced.
After that, the finalists enjoyed lunch overlooking the famous Wembley pitch and then headed back to talkSPORT for a tour of the studios and the chance to see what goes into producing a national sports radio show.
The winner will be announced on Monday May 18th on talkSPORT live during the Drive show. You can vote for Jake here
