- Town kick-off v Brentford tomorrowĀ
Mick McCarthy has said he is delighted with the signings heās made this summer, although does still want to add to his squad.
Ā
The Blues boss has brought in seven new players ahead of the new season, which kicks off tomorrow at Brentford, but is looking at improving the squad further still if the opportunity arises.
Ā
.Mick told Ipswich Player HDāIām delighted with my squad, really pleased with the additions, but Iām still looking to add if possible,ā
Ā
āObviously we lost a very good left-back in Tyrone Mings, but I think weāve got a very adequate replacement in Jonas Knudsen and he showed briefly what he is all about against Utrecht.
Ā
āThen weāve added Jonathan Douglas and Giles Coke who both know this division well and are solid players, not to mention two players who won the title last season in Brett Pitman and Ryan Fraser.
Ā
āLarsen [Toure] weāve also taken and he continues to impress each day in training, so Iām happy with him.
Ā
āAnd, of course, the one who has really come in and impressed me is Ainsley Maitland-Niles- well heās impressed everyone.
Ā
āHeās come in and ripped it up, heās been outstanding and long may it continue.āĀ
