  • Town face Stevenage in Cup
  • Mick could make changes
  • First game at Portman Road this season

Brett Pitman is looking forward to playing in front of the Town fans tomorrow evening, if selected to feature against Stevenage in the Capital One Cup.

The Blues kicked off the season away at Brentford at the weekend, backed by a sold out allocation, and the former Bournemouth striker is excited to get a taste of a competitive game at Portman Road whilst wearing the home shirt.

.the striker told Ipswich Player HD“We’re all looking forward to the game and playing in front of our home fans,”

“The backing we had at Brentford was superb and that’s credit to the Ipswich supporters.

“We’ve worked hard all pre-season and all the lads just want to get out there now. Whoever is selected, the lads will be raring to go.

“You work hard all pre-season, which is something you have to do, and you can get so much out of friendlies but there’s nothing like competitive football and it’s good to be underway now.”
