Striker Freddie Sears praises the impact of the skipper in the dressing-room as Town spirits remain sky-high
Town striker Freddie Sears has praised captain Luke Chambers for helping to create a fantastic spirit around the Club.
Speaking after scoring his first goal of the season in yesterday’s 2-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday, he explained how Chambo has helped the new players settle in and reveals the dressing-room is full of positivity at the minute.
“It’s strange here when you’re new because you just kind of fit in straight away and you don’t really realise how long you’ve been here. I look at myself and I feel like I’ve been here for years,” Freddie told the official Club website.
“You look at Pits, Fraser and Ainsley, they’ve all fitted in straight away so it’s an easy group to fit into and that’s probably down to the skipper.
“He makes everyone feel welcome and feel part of it which is definitely the way to go.
“From the minute I’ve arrived to now he keeps the boys going and is the heartbeat of the team.
“He’s been great and you can tell by his performances on the pitch too. He leads the team and get’s everyone through it.”
