Bru and Bishop sidelined with hamstring problems but Mick boosted by the return of Jonathan Parr for Owls visit
- Parr boost for Town
- Bishop and Bru miss out
- Hyam recovering well
Town will be without the services of Kevin Bru and Teddy Bishop this weekend, but will be boosted by the return of Jonathan Parr.
Midfield duo Bru and Bishop both miss out with hamstring problems, whilst Parr has recovered from the thigh injury that dogged his pre-season.
“Kevin and Teddy will both miss out and we are looking probably at after the international break for them to return,” Mick McCarthy told the official Club website.
“It’s disappointing, especially for Kevin who I thought was excellent on Saturday against Brentford but it’s about managing these players and making sure they come back right.
“Jonny Parr has trained and he’s available, which is pleasing. Other than that we are okay, aside from Luke Hyam of course.
“Luke is doing well with his rehab. He’s obviously very low about the injury still but he’s so hard-working he will be back stronger.
“He’s in doing his rehab with Reg [Luke Varney] and that’s good company to have. I’m sure they are pulling each other through and they are both model professionals for the medical staff to work with.”
