Mick McCarthy strengthens his defence with the addition of Polish right-back from Korona Kielce
- Town add to defence
- 24 year-old pens two year deal
- Won't make debut at the weekend, however
Town have signed Piotr Malarczyk from Korona Kielce for an undisclosed fee, subject to paperwork.
The Polish defender has agreed a contract until 2017 at Portman Road, with the option of a further 12 month stay.
The 24 year-old is comfortable playing at either right-back or centre-half and adds experience and versatility to Town’s backline.
Capped by Poland at youth level, Piotr has spent his entire career at Korona and has made over 200 appearances for them.
The defender has progressed through the Academy ranks to captain the first-team but now joins Town, although is unlikely to be available to make his debut against Brighton.
