Town are delighted to announce a new partnership with Ipswich Hospital, which will see the Club endeavour to help them with a number of their fundraising appeals in the future.

The appeals will be spread right across the hospital and will kick off with the Sunrise Appeal which will attempt to raise £100,000 for the Bergholt Children’s Ward.

The money will help the ward buy new equipment which will help a number of sick children and babies receive the best treatment possible.

There will be a bucket collection outside Portman Road before our first home match of the season against Sheffield Wednesday on the 15th of August.

Ipswich Hospital Trust Chair, Ann Tate has urged the people of Ipswich to help meet their target.

“It’s really important that we think about children and getting them well as quickly as possible,” she said.

“Helping them to get well is the main thing but we also want to make sure they are as comfortable as possible whilst they’re in hospital, because this is not a nice place for children.

“So the more money we can raise will result in us acquiring the best equipment, and ultimately the best comforts, which will be great for the hospital and the kids in this town.”
