Ticket information for the trip to Man United plus kids for a quid and season ticket offers at home games coming up

Ticket details have been confirmed for the Capital One Cup trip to Manchester United next month, with Town also revealing ‘kids for a quid’ and season ticket promotions for the home games against Birmingham and Bristol City in what promises to be an exciting week for Blues fans.

The Sky cameras are at Portman Road on Friday, September 18 for the clash against Birmingham, with home and away supporters under 16 able to watch the game for just £1 in all areas of the stadium.

Blues then travel to Old Trafford’s Theatre of Dreams on Wednesday, September 23 for the third round Capital One Cup tie (full details below) before taking on Bristol City on Saturday, September 26. 

That match has been designated as a ‘season ticket holder promotion' game for all home season ticket holders, with each season ticket holder able to purchase an additional four tickets for only £10 adults, £8 concessions and £3 juniors.

How many tickets have Town been given?
Manchester United are being very accommodating with regards to the amount of tickets available to Town fans. They will work closely with the Club to ensure that all those wanting a ticket for the match will be able to purchase one. Tickets for the game will be sold in the order dictated by Manchester United, starting with 5,500 in the upper tier of the East Stand.

What are the ticket prices?
Tickets for the match will be priced at the following rates – for the first 5,500 tickets;

Adults (21-65): £45.00
18-20: £35.75
Over 65s: £26.50
16-17: £26.50
U16s:  £5.00

The above ticket prices will be reduced by £5.00 (with the exception of U16s) to all Ipswich Town FC members and season ticket holders.

Prices for further ticket allocations may vary slightly due to location within stadium.

When can fans buy tickets?
Ticket sales will commence at 9:00am on the following days;

Gold members -  Tuesday 1st September 2015
Season ticket holders - Thursday 3rd September 2015
Silver members - Monday 7th September 2015
General sale - Tuesday 8th September 2015

Qualifying customer numbers will be able to purchase one ticket per customer number. Fans will also be able to buy on behalf of other qualifying fans in the same transaction to ensure seats are allocated together. The limit of one ticket per customer number will remain at general sale stage.

How can fans purchase tickets?
Fans can purchase tickets online at, or in-person at the Planet Blue store on Portman Road from 9.00am on their relevant priority date above. Fans will need a customer number to purchase tickets. Those without a customer number should register an account with the Club at

How do fans buy tickets in a wheelchair, ambulant disability or visually impaired area?             
Fans requiring tickets in these areas should contact ITFC’s Disability Liaison Co-ordinator, Warner Duff, on (01473) 400556 or by emailing , directly between 9.00am – 5.00pm, Monday – Friday.

How can fans book official coach travel for the game?
Town will be providing official travel coaches in association with the official travel partner, Galloway Coaches. Coach travel places for this match can be booked online or in-store. 

Return travel places for this match will be priced as follows;

Adults: £36.00 per person
Concessions: £33.00 per person
Under 16s: £30.00 per person

Coaches will leave Portman Road at 11.00am on Wednesday, 23 September and will aim to arrive at Old Trafford between 6.00pm - 6.30pm.
