Giles Coke believes Town can make a real statement by beating Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley this week.
The Blues welcome the midfielder’s former Club, the Owls, to Portman Road this weekend, before Sean Dyche’s men visit Suffolk on Tuesday.
The former Motherwell man believes Town are in good shape ahead of the game, after a solid week of training following Tuesday’s win over Stevenage.
“Training has been really good and all the boys are up for two massive games this week,” the midfielder told Ipswich Player HD.
“We can make a real statement with two wins and that’s what we will be looking to do. Obviously I spent a few years at Sheffield Wednesday and it will be good to go up against them.
“I’m an Ipswich player now though and I fully focused on giving my all for the Club.
“It felt good to be in the home strip against Stevenage on Tuesday night and I’m looking forward to playing at Portman Road again with these two games coming up, if involved.
“The Ipswich fans have always supported the side well and I’m looking forward to tasting that as a home player.
“I feel settled here already and the boys have really made me feel welcome. There’s a good group and you can see that in training, it’s hard work but enjoyable too.
“That spirit can help you go a long way and hopefully we can take it into these two huge games this week.”
