Striker named as Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for November after superb recent form

Daryl Murphy has been named as the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Month for November.

The Town striker hit a rich vein of form last month, netting six times which included a first career hat-trick against Rotherham.

The Republic of Ireland international also found the net against Wolves at Portman Road as well as hitting a brace at Charlton.

The striker beat off competition from Derby ‘keeper Scott Carson, Leeds midfielder Alex Mowatt and Brighton’s Solly March to land the award.

“It’s very pleasing to win the award and it was a good month for us,” the striker told Ipswich Player HD.

“We had some good wins, after a difficult month before that, and on a personal note I managed to get a few goals.

“It’s nice to win the award but all the lads deserve credit as it was a real team effort and hopefully we can take this form into the festive period.”
