Boss lands award after beating off competition from Clement, Hughton and Karanka
Town boss Mick McCarthy has been named as the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month for November.
The Blues manager led his side to three wins and a draw last month, which included two superb victories on the road at Rotherham and Charlton.
Town also defeated Bolton at Portman Road as well as sharing the spoils with Wolves on home soil during the month.
Mick beat off competition from Boro boss Aitor Karanka, Brighton’s Chris Hughton and Paul Clement of Derby to win the award.
Meanwhile, Daryl Murphy scooped the Player of the Month award.

“It’s great to get two awards at Ipswich Town for November,” the boss told our official YouTube channel.
“On a personal note, Murphy deserves it and he’s been brilliant for us with his goals and his all-round play.
“As for the manager’s award- and this is not me trying to be humble- really it should classed as ‘the team of the month’ because everyone has put the work in for us to have a great November.
“It was a great month, especially following a bit of a lean spell, so that was top drawer from my lads- to regroup and perform so well.
“We lost our first game of December to Middlesbrough so now it’s up to us to show that character again to get back to winning ways, starting at MK Dons this weekend.”
