Leading scorer shakes off calf injury that kept him out of the draw with Wigan but Gerken and Hyam are again ruled out
- Murphy back in contention
- Gerken back training after injury
- Hyam still sidelined with a knee injury
Town are set to be boosted by the return to action of top scorer Daryl Murphy, who sat out last weekend’s draw with Wigan with a calf injury.
The striker has trained this week and is in the travelling party ahead of the trip to Rotherham, although Dean Gerken [hip] and Luke Hyam [knee] are both set to miss out.
“Murph’s fine, he’s trained and he’ll be back for the Rotherham game,” Mick confirmed on Ipswich Player.
“Gerks is also back in training which is really pleasing but he’s not quite ready to be back just yet. So there’s only really Luke Hyam that’s still injured.
“We are doing alright on that front and it’s great to see Murph training again. He’s alright for Saturday.”
