Huge blow for popular Town striker as knee injury sees him suffer injury heartache

Town striker Noel Hunt has been ruled out for up to 12 weeks with a knee injury.

The forward, who joined Town from Leeds on a free transfer in January, sustained the injury in the closing stages of the weekend win over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The medical team at Portman Road have worked intensely with Noel but scans have revealed the full extent of the injury- his medial ligament- which could see him miss the rest of the season.

Noel has so far scored three goals since arriving at Portman Road- all away from home and in south London- after netting on his debut against Charlton before following that up with a brace against Millwall at The Den.

Reaction from the striker will follow on the official Club website soon.
