Mick praise for Noel and Freddie as Blues' flying start proves decisive at the Den
Noel Hunt struck twice in the first 15 minutes and Jonathan Parr added a third in the second-half to give Town a 3-1 win at the New Den.
“It was a good performance and a good win,” said the Town boss.
“It was always going to be a tough for us today, maybe tougher because of what happened in midweek for them [lost 4-0 to Bradford].
“They started off at a real pace but the goals in the first 15 minutes or so took the sting out of them.
“I didn’t put Jonny Parr on to score a third goal but I’m delighted he did! It opened up for him and he took it really well. That gave us a bit of breathing space at the end.
“Noel Hunt did great for us. I was delighted to get him on loan and even more so when we signed him on a deal.
“Freddie Sears was terrific when he went on as well. He’s going to be a good asset for us.”
