Skusey and Bish back for Amex trip but Didz needs another week

Cole Skuse and Teddy Bishop are both included in Town’s squad for the trip to Brighton on Wednesday.

The duo missed the win at Millwall because of a virus but trained this morning and are on board the bus heading to the south coast.

Cole was included in the squad for Saturday’s game at the New Den after returning to training but suffered a recurrence of the virus that had seen him miss the Derby and Southampton matches.

“Skusey trained really well this morning and he’s back and so is Bish and we’re delighted about that obviously,” Mick McCarthy told the Club website.

“Skusey is an experienced pro and he knows his body. He’s as fit as a flea and he’s played virtually all the games so the rest might do him good.

“Bish runs himself to the point of exhaustion every game. That’s why we have to take him off on 70, 80 minutes. The immune system can take a battering when you are that tired but he trained really well this morning and he’s in the squad for Brighton.”

David McGoldrick misses out on the game at the Amex Stadium though with a knee injury picked up in the FA Cup defeat by Southampton but Mick expects him to be fine for the Wigan match at the end of the month.
