Last trains from Ipswich may depart before the end of the game but replacement buses are on standby to help fans homeDon’t miss the last train!
Please note that if tomorrow night's game goes to extra-time and penalties, the last trains departing from Ipswich may leave before the end of the game.
Abellio Greater Anglia have buses on standby to get fans home to Bury, Felixstowe and Lowestoft in the event of extra time/penalties, although arrangements for Newmarket or Cambridge haven't been confirmed yet.
The last trains are usually at the following times:
2217 Ipswich to Lowestoft
2219 Ipswich to Bury St Edmunds
2228 Ipswich to Felixstowe
There will be an additional service at 2215 calling at Stowmarket and Diss only.
Re London the last advertised train on Wednesday is 22:43.
This is usually the 22:00 from Norwich. However, changes to the timetable this week indicate that the 22:00 will be a bus from Norwich to Diss, arriving in Diss at 22:45.
A train then leaves Diss for London setting down in Ipswich at 23:25 and then other stations to London.
It is timetabled to arrive in London at 00:52.
(the revised timetable can be found here - http://www.abelliogreateranglia.co.uk/f/4618/4618.pdf).
A statement from Abellio Greater Anglia reads: "We have now considered this further and we will be providing stand-by buses to operate to Bury St Edmunds, Felixstowe and Lowestoft in the event of the cup replay going to extra-time and/or penalties.
"There are later trains to Stowmarket, Diss and Norwich and these will run at the scheduled time.
"As explained, we are unable to run the last scheduled trains later because of the considerable delay this would cause to other passengers using these services, and also because of late-night engineering works that Network Rail is carrying out north of Ipswich on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights, which prevents the last trains departing any later.
"Should the match finish in 90 minutes, we are also running an extra train at 22.15 to Stowmarket and Diss, in addition to the scheduled last services to Bury, Felixstowe and Lowestoft."
