Striker signs deal until the end of June after initial loan spell following his release from Leeds United
Town have signed Noel Hunt on a contract until the end of June.
The striker left Leeds by mutual consent yesterday, with the Blues acting quickly to add the Republic of Ireland international to the ranks on a free transfer.
Noel, the younger brother of Town winger Stephen Hunt, spent the end of 2014 on loan at Portman Road, netting a dramatic winner against Charlton on his debut.
The forward will wear the number 16 shirt at Portman Road and could be included in the squad to face Derby County at the weekend (kick-off 12.15pm).
As well as Leeds, the striker has also gained Championship experience with Reading, who he helped win promotion to the Premier League in 2012.
