20 January 2015

Experienced stopper arrives at Portman Road on four month contract from Bolton as Town make another move in the January transfer window

Town have signed Paddy Kenny from Bolton on a contract for four months.

The experienced stopper arrives at Portman Road to provide cover and competition to Bartosz Bialkowski, with Dean Gerken set for a spell on the sidelines with a hip flexor injury.

The former Sheffield United and Leeds ‘keeper trained with his new Town teammates yesterday and is set to be in the squad that travels to Brighton, ahead of tomorrow night's clash at the Amex Stadium.

Capped seven times by the Republic of Ireland, the ‘keeper has vast Championship experience following lengthy spells with Sheffield United, QPR and Leeds.

Paddy has earned promotion from this level on two occasions, first finishing as runners up with the Blades in 2006 before helping QPR to the title in 2011.

The ‘keeper will wear the number 35 shirt during his spell at Town.
