The Club’s Open Day promises to be the biggest yet with more activities than ever planned at Portman Road.

This year’s event takes place on July 30 with supporters invited to watch the first-team train before a signing session will take place pitchside.

There will be plenty of action also on the Fieldturf, with coaching sessions put on by the Club and the Suffolk FA as well as giant inflatables, bouncy castles, sand arts and Dream Team and Co’s ‘Frozen Princesses’.

There will be giveaways and face painting from East of England Co-op and a chance to try out Go Ape’s Segway experience. Yum yum cookery school will be tempting your taste buds, Seckford golf will be swinging into action, Just Jay Dance will be strutting their stuff and Namco Funscape will be testing your 10 pin bowling skills.

The Suffolk Punch Trust will be bringing along three of their magnificent horses - the Suffolk Punch is featured on the Town badge, if you didn’t already know and there will be a few more ‘animals’ on show in the Mascot Race.

Other exhibitors include: Heart FM; Ipswich Supports Club; Mecca Bingo; Cineworld; Town 102; Pleasurewood Hills; Ipswich Buses; British Cycling; New Waterfront Profiles Gym; My Big Fat Wedding Disco; Archant; Weight Watchers; Bristos Renault; Ipswich Audi; Donalds Ipswich; Suffolk Fire Service; Ipswich Hospital Charity; Alex Palmer (football skills); Nandos; Ipswich Central;  Live well Suffolk and the NHS Health.

BBC Radio Suffolk’s Mark Murphy will be broadcasting live from the Open Day, and he will be joined by the Life’s a Pitch team as well as a number of Town legends.

More than 4500 attended last year’s Open Day, with this year’s event opening at 10am. Entry is FREE.
