Town have signed Danish international Jonas Knudsen on a three-year contract from Esbjerg.
The left-back, capped twice at full international level, moves to Portman Road for an undisclosed fee.
It sees the defender move to Portman Road on a deal that runs until 2018, although the Blues do have a further 12 month option in place which could be activated.
22 year-old Jonas will team up with his new teammates ahead of the start of the new Championship season, which kicks off next week away at Brentford, although the defender will feature for Blues against FC Utrecht tomorrow.
The defender has over 100 appearances under his belt since breaking into the first-team at the Danish Superliga side at 17 but has now decided to make the move to English football with the Blues.
He joins the likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Ryan Fraser and Brett Pitman to join Town this summer and he will wear the number three shirt at Portman Road.
A full interview with the Danish international will be available on Ipswich Player HD in due course.
