Striker's foot injury is nothing to worry about says Mick as the goalscorer suffers slight bruising against Cambridge
- Pitman injury is nothing to worry about
- Small bruising on foot for striker
- Parr and Murphy to return on Saturday
Mick McCarthy has confirmed to the official Club website that Brett Pitman’s injury is nothing serious.
The striker was withdrawn with a foot injury against Cambridge, but early fears were eased as it turned out the former Bournemouth man has just suffered a bit of bruising.
“It’s not too serious, just a bit of bruising,” the boss explained.
“He had ice on his foot and he said he was fine, but as soon as the second-half kicked off we could tell he wasn’t fine so we took him off as a precaution.
“Thankfully it’s nothing serious and he’s fine.
“Jonny Parr and [Daryl] Murph were missing against Cambridge but they will both be in action against Peterborough on Saturday.”
