Murph and Didz in action for the Republic of Ireland

Daryl Murphy and David McGoldrick were in action for the Republic of Ireland in the goalless draw with England on Sunday.

The Town duo teamed up for Martin O’Neill’s side in the friendly at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday with Murph going close to breaking the deadlock for the Irish with a header that went just wide from a free-kick.

Didz played the first-half before being replaced by Shane Long, while Murph was substituted on the hour.

It was the second appearance in an Ireland shirt for Didz while Daryl took his total to 15.

The game was a warm-up for Ireland’s crucial European Championship qualifier against Scotland next weekend.

Christophe Berra was an unused substitute for Scotland in their 1-0 win over Qatar in a friendly on Friday.
