Deliveries start on online orders as well as Town's look for next season has a hint of the past
The strip is the second released as part of the four-year supply deal with adidas which commenced in 2014, with the sportswear giant manufacturing Blues’ replica kit, training wear and some limited edition leisurewear ranges through until the end of the 2017/18 season.
The new look home shirt will bring back memories for older Town fans with a return to the popular pinstripe front made famous by the 1982 kit which was adorned with the UEFA Cup winners insignia.
Also prominent on the new kit is a white collar, which was popular throughout the 1970s and was included on Town’s 1978 FA Cup winning kit.
The shirt for 2015/16 will be much more advanced than those kits of the late 70s and early 80s though with the help of adidas ClimaCool © technology. ClimaCool is a unique technology that provides all-around ventilation within the shirt. ClimaCool uses engineered materials to wick away moisture, allow the fabric to breath, and to adjust to body temperature.
Planet Blue will also be launching the new home goalkeeper kit alongside the outfield kit. It comprises of a two-tone green shirt with white and red trim with matching green shorts and green socks.
The away kit - which along with the home strip was exclusively revealed to an audience of 250 fans and VIP guests at Cineworld, Ipswich - is launched in-store on Friday, July 3.
