Party time for supporters after final whistle as well as partnership between clubs grows
The game will be played at the Paul-Janes-Stadion, one of two home grounds for the German club, with kick-off at 6.30pm local time.
Tickets are priced at £7.50 for standing and £11.00 for seats and supporters are asked to purchase before July 13. Any unsold tickets will be returned to Dusseldorf after that date. Wheelchair-bound supporters with their personal assistants will get free entry. They don’t need a ticket, that will arranged by Fortuna on the day.
An after match party will take place for the supporters of both clubs at Stahlwerk, a bar/disco based in a former steelworks. It is a walkable distance from the stadium.
Tickets for the party are also available from Town in advance at £3.00.
The pre-season friendly is the result of a growing relationship between the fans of the two clubs over recent years with Town fans travelling to Germany to cheer on Fortuna, while hundreds of Dusseldorf supporters were at Portman Road to watch Blues’ game against Derby in January.
