Daryl and Didz set for crucial Euro qualifier against Christophe's Scotland

Daryl Murphy will be hoping to pick up his 16th cap when the Republic of Ireland take on Scotland in a crucial 2016 European Championship qualifier on Saturday.

The Town striker is in contention to lead the line for the Republic in the Group D clash at the Aviva Stadium, kick-off 5pm.

David McGoldrick is also in the Irish squad, having won his second cap in last weekend’s goalless draw against England in a friendly.

Fellow Blue, Christophe Berra is in the Scotland party for a game the Republic really need to win.

They sit two points behind Scotland in fourth place, with Poland and Germany holding down the top two spots in what is a highly competitive qualifying group.

Town midfielder Kevin Bru is also on international duty with Mauritius, who play Ghana in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Sunday.
