Mick delight at seeing Williams back in a Town shirt - and welcomes Zeki's arrival
The midfielder reported for training today for the first time since signing for Blues on loan deadline day from Crystal Palace in what will be his third spell at the Club.
Jonny was joined at training by fellow Eagle, Zeki Fryers, who has also made the loan move from Selhurst Park to Portman Road, joining until the end of the campaign.
“We’ve had a good finish to the month haven’t we, with the win at Watford and then the two lads coming in,” Mick told www.itfc.co.uk.
“I’m thrilled to have the pair of them. We have no real recognised left-back with Bournemouth coming up on Friday. Jonny Parr is struggling with a hamstring problem and Tyrone Mings is suspended so getting Zeki in is important.
“He joined Palace [from Tottenham] on transfer deadline day in August when they couldn’t get Tyrone so there is a bit of irony there.
“To get Jonny in as well is fantastic. He is still getting back to full fitness and hasn’t played a first-team game since he got injured here against Watford.
“He is not going to come in and play seven games just like that and we will be guided by him but he’s got a part to play for us.
“He is loved by everyone at the Club and he’s going to add some real quality to our squad. Having him back with us has given everyone a lift.”
