Skipper singles out Skuse and matchwinner Tabb following Town's hard fought win over Bolton
Luke Chambers was full of praise for his Town teammates following the victory over Bolton and in particular Cole Skuse and matchwinner Jay Tabb.
Blues got back to winning ways thanks to Tabb’s late winner against Neil Lennon’s side, with him and Skuse singled out for praise by the skipper.
“We had to be patient but it’s a good win in the end for us and a solid team performance,” Luke told the offical Club website.
“I’m delighted for Tabby to have got the winner as allseason he’s been excellent for us and perhaps not had the praise he deserves.
“He reckons he hit his goal cleanly but we’ve all given him a bit of stick in the dressing-room! He was great again tonight though and you can see how much he lifts the crowd when he wins a header, or throws his body in there to win us the ball.
“I also thought Cole Skuse was excellent for us. Again, he perhaps doesn’t get the praise he should do but we all saw tonight how important he is for the team.
“I haven’t seen the results but I’ve been told a few teams around us pick up points, so it was important we got the win tonight and put a smile back on the fans’ faces following the defeat at Middlesbrough.
“We’ve got to keep pushing on now and take this win into Watford on Saturday.”
