Duo included for crucial European Championship clash against Poland

Daryl Murphy and David McGoldrick have been named in an initial squad of 34 for the Republic of Ireland’s 2016 European Championship qualifier against Poland on March 29. 

Ireland boss Martin O’Neill will cut the squad down before the Irish gather in Dublin after Blues play Watford next weekend. 

Didz, who is on his way back to fitness after being sidelined since the start of February with a thigh problem, impressed on his debut for the Republic in their 4-1 win over the United States in November. 

Meanwhile Chris Wood, on loan at Town from Leicester, has been selected for New Zealand for their friendly against South Korea on March 31 while Dylan Connolly is in the Republic of Ireland U21 squad for their European Championship qualifier against Andorra in Waterford on March 26.
