Midfielder praises the support of the Blue Army after 'tough five months' and now wants to repay them with Town promotion
Jonny Williams has expressed his delight at being back with the Blues and thanked the Town fans for their backing over a ‘tough’ five months.
The midfielder penned a third loan with Town yesterday, joining from Crystal Palace before the deadline slammed shut, and the Wales international is excited to play his part in the promotion push.
After seeing his temporary stint at Portman Road ended prematurely through injury, Jonny is looking to pay back the fans for their support and well wishes during that time.
“The last five months have been very tough but the support I’ve had from fans during that period has been special,” Jonny exclusively told the official Club website.
“I’m delighted to be back at Ipswich and I can’t wait to get back out on the pitch again.
“I really enjoyed my last two spells here and I’m looking forward to starting my third.
“The boys are doing really well and I’m hoping I can contribute wherever possible in this promotion push. They’re a great bunch of lads and I’m looking forward to working with them and the staff again.
“I just can’t wait to get started now.”
