TRIO LATEST TO JOIN HALL OF FAME

9 March 2015

Bobby Ferguson, Mick Lambert and Jason Dozzell honoured

Bobby Ferguson, Mick Lambert and Jason Dozzell are the latest former Blues to be inducted into the Club’s Hall of Fame.

The three were honoured at the Ex-Players’ Dinner held at the Club on Friday night.

Bobby was Bobby Robson’s assistant manager when Town lifted the UEFA Cup in 1981 and a year later took over as boss at Portman Road, spending five years in charge.

Mick made more than 200 appearances for Town in a 10 year stay at Portman Road and played the closing stages of Blues’ win over Arsenal in the 1978 FA Cup final after coming on as substitute.

Jason became the youngster player to score a League goal in the top flight when he notched on his Town debut against Coventry in February 1984 aged 16 years and 57 days.

He went on to become a key part of the team that lifted the Second Division title in 1992 and scored more than 70 goals in 400 games.
