Jay left frustrated that Town couldn't convert second-half chances into a winning goal at Portman Road

Midfielder Jay Tabb felt Town had the chances to win the game this afternoon, despite having to settle for a point against Brentford at Portman Road.

Blues opened the scoring through Daryl Murphy but were pegged back by Jonathan Douglas’ header. Town created a host of chances after that but were ultimately left frustrated in their search for a winner.

“People may say it was a fair result but I think, with the chances we’ve had, we could have nicked it,” Jay told the official Club website.

“It’s one of those really, it can be classed as a point gained or two dropped. We’re still right in the mix though and it’s so tight at the top.

“We certainly had the chances to win the game and it was a real end-to-end affair to be honest.

“It was tough out on the pitch but those are the type of games you want to be involved in and we’ve got another promotion clash against Middlesbrough on Saturday.”
