Defender called up to 26 man squad by Gordon Strachan for clashes against Qatar and the Republic of Ireland

Town defender Christophe Berra has been named in the Scotland squad for their upcoming games against Qatar and the Republic of Ireland.

Gordon Strachan has named a 26 man party for the two clashes, with the game against Ireland being a crunch European Qualifier at the Aviva Stadium.

The Scots take on Qatar on Friday 5th June at Easter Road, before then squaring off against Martin O’Neill’s Ireland on June 13th.

The Town defender, who was unfortunately sent off in the Play-Off semi-final second leg defeat to Norwich at the weekend, could line up against his Club teammates Daryl Murphy and David McGoldrick at the Aviva Stadium.
