Stephen Hunt disappointed with final day defeat but delighted to make the Play-Offs and says the opportunity is there to be taken
Stephen Hunt has said itâs now up to Town to âgrab the opportunityâ after reaching the Play-Offs, where an East Anglian derby against Norwich City awaits.
The midfielder played his part as the Blues secured sixth place in the table, despite a 3-2 defeat at Blackburn, thanks to other results.
It now means Town will face the Canaries, whilst the other semi-final sees Brentford meet Middlesbrough. Â
âWeâre in the Play-Offs and thatâs the main thing,â the Irish midfielder told the official Club website.
âWe can look back at the season and take plenty of positives from it, although today wasnât our day on the pitch.
âWe threw everything at Blackburn to try and get a result but in the end it doesnât matter as we are in the Play-Offs and we will start focusing on that now.
âThe gaffer has told us well done and now we will look forward to two games against Norwich and trying to eventually get to the Premier League.
âIt was a mental day and even up until the final minute we didnât know what was fully happening, even with our fans cheering, but we are there now and we are all delighted.
âWe will be ready to go again next week and itâs up to those who want to grab it now.â
