Midfielder to remain at Portman Road for a further year after a clause is automatically activated on his existing deal
Jay Tabb has extended his stay at Portman Road for a further year.
The midfielder was out of contract with the Blues but a clause on his existing deal has been automatically activated, which sees him remain a Town player for a further 12 months.
The former Reading man, who first joined the Club on loan before making that a permanent switch in the summer of 2013, has been a regular on the left-hand side of Town’s midfield this term.
He becomes the first player to agree to a contract extension since Town learned what division they would be playing in, following the Play-Off semi-final defeat to Norwich at the weekend.
Jay has made 81 appearances in a Town shirt and scored four times, his latest strike coming in March’s 1-0 win over Bolton.
