Striker hails performance as Town put on a show at The Valley

Freddie Sears believes Town’s work ethic has been the catalyst to getting back on form, having had a difficult spell in October.

Freddie scored the second goal in Blues’ 3-0 win over Charlton at The Valley, with Daryl Murphy also bagging a brace, and helped extend their current unbeaten run to six.

“I don’t think we’ve been too far off our best all season,” he said following the victory.

“We had that little spell in October when we didn’t pick up points but we didn’t lose many games but the gaffer and TC have made us work harder and the results are starting to come now.

“We believe we should be in the top six, but we’ve got to just keep getting those points and come the end of the season, we’ll hopefully be in the Play-Offs.

“We can be confident going into the Middlesbrough game now. We will be confident because we’re six unbeaten, so we’re looking forward to it. We’ll rest up then we’ll be ready for Friday.”
