Former midfielder believes the good times can come back to Portman Road under Mick and Terry and feels the fans deserve success
Jimmy Bullard believes Town have a good chance of earning promotion this season- and feels the fans deserve success at Portman Road.
The former Blues midfielder was back at Playford Road this week, filming a feature with the first-team squad for Soccer AM, and caught up with Ipswich Player HD to look back at his time in Suffolk.
“It was great to be back visiting and I loved my time at Ipswich,” Jimmy told Ipswich Player HD.
“I started to enjoy my football again and I always found it to be a really friendly and family orientated club.
“A lot of the backroom staff are still here and there are a few boys remaining from my time such as Chambo, Tommy Smith, [Daryl] Murphy so it’s good to see everyone again.
“The fans were great to me too and they deserve a bit of success. I think Ipswich have got a great chance this season and Mick McCarthy and Terry Connor know the division inside out.
“They’ve got as good a chance as anyone else but this league is so tight, it’s all about staying in the mix over Christmas and then taking your chance.
“But I think Ipswich will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.”
