Striker not back in training yet and Blues play patience game with Bish
The Town striker has missed the last two matches and won’t be included in the squad to face Charlton at the weekend.
“I said last week that Didz was unlikely to be fit for the weekend and sadly that is the case,” Blues’ boss Mick McCarthy told the Club website.
“He has done some damage to that abductor muscle. It’s giving him a few problems.
“He is nowhere near training at the moment. He is doing his rehab. He is in the gym doing strengthening work.”
Teddy Bishop is also sidelined for Town with an on-going hamstring problem.
“Bish is similar to Didz in that he is still getting treatment. We are not rushing him. We want to get him absolutely right before he’s back playing games,” added Mick.
