Ainsley praises the support of the Blue Army as Town look to get back to winning ways against Bolton at Portman Road

Ainsley Maitland-Niles has praised the Town for their support and is looking to repay the Blue Army with three points against Bolton tomorrow evening.

The Blues welcome Neil Lennon’s side to Portman Road looking to register a first win since September and the Arsenal loanee is hoping for more of the same from the terraces.

“The fans were brilliant on Saturday and it was a great atmosphere to play in,” said Ainsley in an interview for tomorrow’s edition of the official matchday programme.

“In fact, it was so loud we struggled to hear ourselves on the pitch! We need that support from the fans and they do play a big part, they’ve been great.

“It helps mentally as it makes you feel that little bit bigger out on the pitch, knowing you are playing for the fans and if they can make as much noise as they did at the weekend, then they will have played their part.

“Hopefully we can repay them with a win against Bolton tomorrow evening, that’s the aim.”
