Striker remains sidelined with a groin injury ahead of Wolves clash and could also miss the trip to Charlton
David McGoldrick has been ruled out of Saturday’s game against Wolves and is already rated as a doubt for next week’s visit to Charlton.
The striker missed the win at Rotherham with a groin injury that saw him pulled out of the Republic of Ireland squad for their European Championship Play-Off against Bosnia.
“Didz is still missing and he is doubtful for next weekend at the moment as well,” Town boss Mick McCarthy told the Club website.
“He has a very sore groin and he will be back when he is back.
“He has had quite a few injuries lately. Some in the past have been down to the fact that we had to use him a lot. When it was just Murph and Didz, we didn’t have anyone to really come in and change it until Freddie [Sears] arrived.
“Now we have four strikers and can change it around but Didz has picked up a real bad one. It’s unfortunate for him and for us.”
There will be a minute’s silence before Saturday’s game in memory of former Blue, Marton Fulop, who passed away recently at the age of just 32 and also as a mark of respect to those who lost their lives in the tragic events in Paris last week.
Supporters are asked to be vigilant when attending any game at Portman Road and to report immediately to the nearest steward any person acting suspiciously, or the whereabouts of any unattended bag.
