Cole still reeling from Blackburn performance but believes time away could help the squad returned recharged

Cole Skuse believes the international break has come at a good time for the Blues, as Town reflect on that disappointing defeat to Blackburn.

Mick McCarthy’s side were defeated 2-0 by Rovers at Ewood Park last time out, putting in an under-par performance, with midfielder Skuse now believing that time away could help the squad come back refreshed and recharged.

“It’s really disappointing that we haven’t got a game for a couple of weeks because we will ponder on the defeat [at Blackburn],” Cole told Ipswich Player HD.

“But I think the international break can be a good thing for us. We can go away, think about things and how we can improve.

“We will analyse our own performances, analyse the team performances of recent weeks and come back in ready to go again.

“We’ve been in training this week looking over the Blackburn defeat but sometimes that little switch off from football and time with you family can help players and I’m sure it can have that affect on us, before we go again against Huddersfield.”
