Midfielder pulls no punches with his post-match comments following poor Town display at Ewood Park this afternoon

Cole Skuse has promised the Town fans that the side will improve following a disappointing 2-0 loss to Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park today.

Former Blues striker, Jordan Rhodes, grabbed an early double as Rovers claimed a comfortable victory, with Town now having taken just five points from a possible 18 recently.

“We’re angry and disappointed but it just wasn’t us today and the manager will say the same,” said Cole, speaking to Ipswich Player HD post-match.

“We gave it a bit more of a go in the second half without creating clear chances as they were sitting behind the ball defending a 2-0 lead.

“It’s really disappointing that we have a two week break to sit and ponder what happened. We pride ourselves on the way we play and go about our business but they were better than us, so that’s probably the most disappointing thing.

“Top teams are always going to lose but it was the way the defeat came about that really hurt us and it was a powder-puff performance.

“A couple of fans expressed some anger after the game and they’re more than entitled to but you can’t knock the away fans and the result will hurt them as much as it hurts us but we will be better. In our next performance, we will be better."
