Luke and Ryan face questions from Britannia Primary school pupils as Town get Club-led education programme underway
Weekend goalscorers Luke Chambers and Ryan Fraser kicked-off the Club’s Education Programme for the 2015-16 season this week, with a trip to Britannia Primary School in Ipswich.
The duo faced questions from year six pupils who became journalists for the afternoon, interviewing the Town players as part of a curriculum relevant learning experience, created by the Club.
The 60 pupils, who were provided with Ipswich Town clipboards, pencils and special press passes to help them feel like a real-life journalist, spent their time interviewing the duo about life as a professional football player.
Skipper Luke Chambers said: “Visiting local schools is something the lads and I really enjoy doing and to be involved in a project which encourages children to develop their English skills is very rewarding.”
It wasn’t all work though as the visit finished up with the chance for pupils (and some of the teachers) to get autographs and photos with the players.
There are only a few remaining places left on the ITFC Education Programme, so if your local school would like to sign up to the FREE programme, please ask the school to email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
