Defender would be open to going out on loan to gain further experience but only if it's right for him and the boss

Josh Emmanuel has said he would be more than happy to go out on loan, if manager Mick McCarthy believes it his best for him and the Club.

The right-back has impressed in his five appearances for the Blues this term, although the boss has hinted that he may look to loan out the former West Ham youngster at some point, to help aid his first-team development.

“Going out on loan is something I would certainly consider if it was right for me and it was right for the manager,” said Josh, in an interview that will be published in Saturday’s official matchday programme.

“I know he’s spoken about possibly sending myself and a few of the young lads out on loan for some more competitive experience if and when the time is right and ,if it’s the right club, then of course, I would be more than happy if it’s best for everyone.

“I still live with my parents, so they are always there to keep an eye on me. That might change if I went out on loan and had to look after myself though, I’m not sure who would do my cooking and cleaning!”
