Skipper talks up Huddersfield game as the Blues prepare well following difficult defeat at Blackburn last time out

Luke Chambers has said Town have had a good’s week training, ahead of the weekend clash with Huddersfield, and wants to get the Blue Army smiling again.

The skipper knows the importance of tomorrow’s game at Portman Road and admits it has been tough having to wait so long for a chance to put right that poor performance at Blackburn.

“We’ve been back at this week, training hard ahead of a tough game against Huddersfield,” Luke explained in his column for the matchday programme.

“The gaffer gave us all a bit of time off and it was good to get away and spend time with the family but it’s never nice when it comes on the back of a bad result as it did at Blackburn.

“We weren’t good enough that day, I think everyone knows that, and having to sit and ponder on that defeat rather than having the chance to go out and put it right was tough.

“We’re frustrated still but it’s given us a chance to get back together and work on a few things and hopefully we can get back to winning ways this weekend and get the fans smiling again.

"We fancy our chances against anyone at Portman Road and it will be good to get back out in front of our home fans tomorrow."
