Jonas takes the positives from draw with Birmingham

Jonas Knudsen believes his side have to take the point earned in the 1-1 draw with Birmingham as a positive, despite perhaps doing enough to take all three.

David Cotterill opened the scoring midway through the first-half with a powerful finish before Brett Pitman levelled from the spot 10 minutes later, and Jonas was pleased at the way Town performed in the match.

“We went in at half time at 1-1 so we had to go out and try and win it at home and I thought we did that,” he told Ipswich Player HD.

“If small things go right, we’d have won the game because I don’t think they did much in the second-half. Sometimes it goes for you and sometimes it doesn’t but I liked our style in the second-half.

“We want to win every home game but today we’ll take the point and sometimes you have to do that. Sometimes you can play badly and get the win but today I think we have to accept the point.

“It rained a lot today before the game and it was very slippy. You see that with the first goal but you can’t do anything about that and we kept our head up and we got back in the game.

“Four points from our last two games is good, and if the small things went right it would be six. We have to look forward and we’re still near the top of the league.”
