Local schools encouraged to get involved with the Club's education programme

Become a ‘Friend of ITFC’

Following the success of the ITFC education programme last season, the Club are delighted to be continuing this popular initiative and are inviting local primary schools get involved this season.

Last season we enjoyed working with over 50 schools from across the region, using football to inspire youngsters in all aspects of English, providing real life opportunities for writing as schools either received a visit from Town players or were invited to experience a matchday at Portman Road.

Thanks to funding from organisations such as The Big Lottery Fund, each school who successfully register will receive a number of benefits including;

  • Two season tickets for schools to use as a reward incentive
  • A pennant so the school can proudly show their partnership with ITFC
  • A signed item to assist the school with fundraising
  • Access to either our journalist experience or matchday experience complete with curriculum relevant learning resources and props to help pupils as they take on the role of a real life journalist
  • ITFC posters featuring out players promoting reading

If your local school would like to sign up to the FREE programme, please ask the school to email for more information.
